The tree is up, The tree is up!

Paris here, I'm so excited for the holidays! My big sparkly tree is up and I'm so happy to be able to climb it and bat off all the shiny balls, good thing my mom buys plastic ones! It shakes and shakes but I hold on!
Happy Holidays Everyone!

Hi there!! My name is Charlie (Chubs), and I am the newest addition to the Westside Family Pet staff family! My owner adopted me about a month ago, and I fit right in with her lifestyle!! I love laying in any comfy place, especially on my owner's lap! I also like to eat! My owner adopted me even though I was 9 and a half years old, so if you are looking to adopt a new pet for your family, remember that the older animals are just as fun as the younger ones! Happy holidays!

My latest adventures...Bug

Hi all,

Sorry for the lapse. Wow, how the summer and fall flew by!  Sorry to lose touch with everyone. I see my other cat buddies here at WFPC have fallen a bit behind so I guess we are all in this together!

Well, the nutshell version is... life is great! I think all cats can pretty much say that right?

Me being the traveling sort being hooked up with Dr Ken is pretty much perfect. We flew to Atlanta to drive back a great deal he got on a used Audi, flew to Knoxville for a family gathering in NC and then I got to go to Denver for an AAHA business meeting. He even let me go to Seattle with him on a pet dentistry conference and we visited the first Starbucks. Dr Ken ordered extra whip cream on his mocha for me and they called my name and gave me a whole cup of whip cream. How cool is that!

Colorado was way fun because we got to go hiking in a canyon where Dr Ken took pictures of me rock climbing and one of them won 2nd prize in the recent Isthmus Photo Contest!

We also took several beach trips up to Dr Ken's favorite places on lake Superior where believe it or not I got to test a brand new CFD (Cat Floatation Device) that Dr Ken designed just for me and went paddle boarding with him 3 times! I also discovered this beach just for cats!

If you like these photos there also more at my new website www.amazingadventuresofbug.com

and my new FB page www.facebook.com/amazingadventuresoflittlebug

Some of them are also up in Bug's Cat Gym  which you can see anytime. Be sure and ask if you can run around in there cause it is way fun for us adventurous cats!

Don't forget "Cats' Night Out" is next Wednesday with a holiday theme. Love to see you there!

BB

Hi! My name of BB and this is my story...

About 3 years ago, I was surrendered over to Dane County Friends of Ferals as I was very sick and needed lots of treatment for my varying ailments and injuries. At the time, Catie was a volunteer at DCFoF and had heard about my arrival. After all my surgeries where completed, Catie volunteered to take me home as a foster to help aid in my recovery. When I came to Catie, my name was actually Big Boy, but since I was malnourished and barely 5 lbs, she decided I wasn't much of a "big boy" and shortened my name to BB.  After a couple months, Catie couldn't resist my charm and toothless "meow" (I had all my teeth removed in one of my surgeries), so she adopted me!

Today, I share her home with my three brothers, Loki, Oliver, and Joan. I am a healthy 8 lbs and love my new home! Catie's provides me many toys to play with. My favorite one is bumble bee on a string..I can never catch it! I also really like playing the game that Catie has dubbed "Door Wars" with my brother Loki. This is when we attack each other's paws under a closed door and pounce on them. The loud door banging that results from this game must really annoy Catie though because she doesn't let us play it long! When I am not playing with my toys or brothers, you can usually find me sleeping beneath the covers of Catie's bed.. it's my favorite place to be!

Well, I gotta go.. I'm off to play with my early Christmas present.. a new cat tree from Catie!

Happy Holidays !!

Bubbles Livin' the Good Life

This is me and my canine buddy, Meatloaf.  We're hanging around outside soaking in some sun.  These are the days I'm thinking about as I look out at my porch. It's much to cold to go outside now.  There's no more leaves on the trees, and all of the squirrels and bunnies are getting ready to hibernate. Winter is no fun.  Please come back Summer!

New kittens for adoption!!

Its hard to get good photos of rambunctious kittens!!  These 3 tuxedos are here at WFPC, patiently waiting for their forever home(s).  They are very friendly and playful and we are so happy to have adorable kittens back in the front kitty condos!

Lilly to a forever home!

Congratulations to Lilly from Dane County Humane Society! She was adopted October 13th to a lovely new home with a fabulous owner. Lilly came to us in April at 17 lbs. With a lot of hard work, her prescription vet diet and exercise in the cat gym she went to her new home at 12.3 lbs! We will miss her dearly, but now she has a place to call home.
