How Dr Ken is trying to keep me away from the Christmas Tree!

Hi Bug here!

Happy Holidays all you cats!

Just a quick update of what Dr Ken is doing to try and keep me away from the tree. (ha, not totally working!)

This is a view of our fitness room at 4 Paws Swim & Gym usually reserved for dogs only. Nicki & Dr Ken snuck me in with one of our adoptable kitties Jackie to try out some of the great new equipment. This is a pet trampoline and cavaletti rails and way in the background is a balance board... my favorite!

I tried the cavaletti rails and even the dryland treadmill but it wasn't much fun because they didn't turn on the power yet!

At any rate it was a lot of fun and I look forward to my next workout and even doing some real agility events as soon as they arrive!

Have a great holiday and hope you get lots of fun stuff.

Feel free to comment about any fun active toys you get!

You can find me in the tree...

This tree is the best gift I've ever recieved! It comes with little balls to bat off it and chase around. Tasty branches to chew, and I can even climb to the top and hide out!

Meet Maximus

Hi everyone, I'm Maximus! I'm a nine year old very lovable orange tabby. I was born in Colorado and had quite an adventure as a kitten and ended up with a broken leg.  My mom and dad fixed it for me and then ended up loving me so much (can you blame them?) that they adopted me. My dad felt I deserved a grand name, so Maximus I became.

I have several brothers and sisters and enjoy snuggling with them or anyone for that matter. I've even been known to crawl in bags. One time I think my dad didn't know I was in there and almost took me to work!

Hi I'm Lance (Bug's housemate)

Hi,  I'm Lance!

I have lived with Dr Ken for the past 8 years at his Lake Mendota cabin. I was rescued from a Verona farm as a very active 8 week old kitten. I let Dr Ken pet me briefly just to show him I wasn't totally wild! I purr lots and let him rub my head & neck now, but no belly rubs!

I was named after Lance the famous biker & cancer survivor as Dr Ken likes to bike a lot and has even seen my namesake race in the Tour de France.  My nicknames are Lance Man, Lancifurr, and others that are a bit more random!

I love to go outside and Dr Ken allows it as long as I stay close to the cabin and keep up my vaccinations & Revolution! I have a microchip too which he is adamant about for his pets. I always like to see what is going on down at the Lake and even go out on the pier when it is nice. I especially like to roll on my back when it is sunny and nice out.

About 8 weeks ago my life changed a bit as Bug came to live with us. Although I originally found her a little pesky I now enjoy kitty wrestling with her (I always win!) and we have both enjoyed having a X-mas tree to play with this past week.

Bug has gotten to go on lots of adventures so I get the house to myself for some peace and quiet but I hope to join them on one or two next year!

Oh well short and sweet, just wanted to introduce myself!

Happy holidays!

Lance

Meowser the Species Confused Cat

                                                                 Hi my name is Meowser.
My human sister wanted to name me Neville! Thank goodness my mon said "No!"
I am a little species challanged so they tell me.
This is my sister and I LOVE her. (We even snuggle and sleep together!) We do alot of other things together too. When she starts looking a little grungy, I am happy to help her look her best by licking her clean. (She seems to enjoy it too!) We share our food, bed, toys and even a rawhide chewy now and then. Well the sun is out so it's time to be a cat I
                                          guess.

Izze B, that's what they call me!

Hi my name is Izze B.  Which is short for Isadora Belle (Is adorable).  My mom has given me many nicknames to fit my many different personalities.  There is Izzer B, Izzerd Bean, Business, Dork-able, Kitten pants, and she uses my full name when I've gotten into too much mischief.

This is how little I was when my mama rescued me.  She used to work for a vet in MN and I was only 3 weeks old when a lady found me stranded in a shipping yard and brought me to the clinic.  My mom was going to be starting vet school that fall, and was waiting for a sweet kitten to come into her life; boy was my mom lucky to get me!  She had to feed me with a syringe and help me go to the bathroom. (too much time in the sink for me!)  But look how great I turned out!  I will tell you more stories about growing up and how my mom helped me become a good kitty.

This is my friend Boo.  She moved in with her mom in July.  We have lots of fun together chasing each other up and down the halls.  Playing with wand toys, laser lights, and milk rings.  She has also taught me some fun new tricks and I've taught her some too.  I now know how to get up on the counter, it's super fun, but it make my mom very mad.  I taught Boo how to get up on the dinning room table as well.  We are also very sneaky and steal each others food, this really makes our moms crazy!

Well I better be off, lots of playing to do and mischief to be had.  Stay posted I have lots of fun tricks in store.

Hello, I'm Bubbles!

Hi, I'm Bubbles!  I'm about 2 1/2 years old and I was adopted from MATC's veterinary technician program.  I'm super playful and will bat around anything I can get my little paws on.  I love to go outside on the deck to get a closer look at the squirrels that tease me through the windows.  A couple of nights ago, my dad was going to let me out but I saw a giant raccoon on the deck, so I ran back inside.  That was a little scary.  My tail was puffed up for a while after that.  My dad chased it away, but I still refused to go outside that night.
Sometimes I like to chase the little mouse that runs around the house.  I've caught him before, but I always let him go.  It's more fun that way, I can chase him again another day.  I always have lots of fun, but I wish my dad was home more often to play with me.  Work and school keep him too busy!

I love having a big brother and sister. We also have this other thing that lives with us. Shes black and I think they call her a lab. She likes licking me. I think she thinks that I'm her baby. Laney better watch out I think she really likes our mama! I'm going to try and toot my horn  but I'm pretty young and I don't have alot to toot about yet. Stay tuned in. I'll try to keep Laney and Bailey under control.

Melanie; the original Spice Girl

Hello! My name is Melanie (I am named after Sporty Spice) I am 10 years old and I love being outside, even though I am declawed. My hobbies include sleeping, eating, and running away from the dog! She likes to chase me around the house and eat my food. I get back at her though, I like to tease her by jumping on the counter where she can't reach me!

Don't try to get anything done when I'm around though, I love to lay on newspapers, books, homework, etc. (only when your reading them, of course!)

Meet Turbo the Ninja Cat!

My name is Turbo and I'm a very active little guy. I have IBD (irritable bowel disease) and I don't let it slow me down! I like to climb things that a creature with no thumbs should be able to, jump 3 feet in the air, do back flips, ninja vanish (disappear with out a trace then magically reappear)  and wrestle WWE style with my sister. Sometimes I ninja vanish on my mom so well that she can't find me and worries that I escaped into the great outdoors.

Mom loves to spoil me with all sorts of fun and exciting toys. (I like to be occupied while she is away at work, or else I get myself into trouble) But I am a big believer that the most simple and free things are the best; like boxes! You can jump on them, hide in them, attack your sister through the holes, or tease the dog. Needless to say the possibilities are endless!

I'm pretty sure if I had thumbs I could take over the world.

"Diva Cat Christmas Tree"

I have never seen this type of tree before. Esspecially inside the house, its so so sparkly and the lights just attract me to it.I must climb to the top!

There are toys attached with string. I just love to bat them off and chase them down the hall. The branches are so tasty and meant to chewed.

The gift bags underneath it, are meant to be tipped over so that I can play in them.
O, do I love this holiday season!
